Description: Two classic flamenco compositions, "Impetu" by Mario Escudero, and "Panaderos" by Esteban de Sanlucar. Before Paco did his own thing, he proved that he was a master of the tradition, and raised the standard for technique. He was probably 21 and 25 here. |

man1116 ::: Favorites true story. any flamenco is difficult, and its not that i discard classical music, i mean, there are great pieces like Air on a g string, Claire de Lune, its just that the attitude "classical" people hve, they just think they know everything. thanks man for your support. =D 07-10-25 10:22:15 __________________________________________________
rumbakingofnfl ::: Favorites I am with you man1116. Not that I want to start a war but the guy who made the smart comment about classical music is "ignorant" Flamenco is much more complicated than classical music and is usually played out of time because the majority of the players think they are too good to play in time and are so concerned about the tone of their guitar that the music suffers. Anyone who can actually play say bulerias and stay in compas can kick the snot out of any classical guitarist! 07-10-25 08:39:47 __________________________________________________
man1116 ::: Favorites that is correct! flamenco sound is beautiful and so strong. its difficult to achieve. but some peoplo focus on "what they read" and not on what they hear... paco de lucia learnt flamenco as a way to survive, so he can play anything, thatnks marRicardo! 07-10-19 23:59:39 __________________________________________________
CeyCenk ::: Favorites what do you want to express now? 07-10-18 13:25:40 __________________________________________________
marRicardo ::: Favorites There is not a "correct" interpretation for classical music. That is why people do their own interpretations. You can like one interp better than another of course. Paco did his own flamenco interp of the music, SPANISH music. Not bach, but he could why not? Also, tone is not better or worse. The flamenco sound is not so easy to achieve either. 07-10-18 11:58:51 __________________________________________________
mashinkle ::: Favorites Ima no tienes ni puta idea - El flamenco no se trata de velocidad, y no nos importa tu 'classical' vete a las mierda y dejanos en paz 07-10-17 11:32:12 __________________________________________________
man1116 ::: Favorites so take care :) im gonna go practice flamenco. 07-10-14 18:31:54 __________________________________________________
man1116 ::: Favorites thats the problem with u classical-playing people... u are wise asses who call everyone ignorant. 07-10-14 18:29:48 __________________________________________________
ImaGuitaristDawg ::: Favorites Sigh... watch my videos. Paco cannot play classical music with the correct interpretation. Flamenco focuses on speed but loses tone. Classical focuses on tone but loses speed. The director did not hear conduct John Williams, Kazuhito Yamashita or Manuel Barrueco. Your comment is just oozing with ignorance. 07-10-14 18:05:48 __________________________________________________
man1116 ::: Favorites im sorry to say this, but flamenco techniques are more difficult than classical, and of course paco cannot play bach, he could play it even better.. starting by comparing the classical tremolo to the flamenco tremolo... flamenco is more difficult to perform, and, if someone can play "la barrosa" or "guajiras de lucia", can paly any piece.. and paco the lucia has played classical... remember "concierto de aranjuez" in which the director said the no one has ever played so perfectly for him... 07-10-14 13:05:12 __________________________________________________ |
