Description:
Full story at http://www.thebluestate.com/2007/02/video_texas_rep.html Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) stood his ground and joined the twenty-or-so other Republicans that have decided to vote with the House Democrats in favor of a non-binding Iraq resolution that condemns President Bush's troop surge. Speaking of Bush, Congressman Paul was very straight-forward in his displeasure for Bush's "demented philosophy of conquest." Here is a portion of his floor speech: RON PAUL: "In recent decades, our policies have been driven by neoconservative empire radicalism; profiteering in the military industrial complex; misplaced do-good internationalism; mercantilistic notions regarding the need to control natural resources; and blind loyalty to various governments in the Middle East." You can add Ron Paul's name to the small list of the few level-headed Republicans left in Congress. |

alansready ::: Favorites that is so naive. there will never be that time because as long as we stay there the muslims will hate us. there will always be more recruits. this will never work we need to get out of their and save billions of dollars and save many american lives 07-08-22 16:54:40 _____________________________________________________
alansready ::: Favorites Jman55 what is wrong with saying Ron Paul!! he answers your stupid critisms right in the video. There could not possibly any more of a reasoned argument than what he says right in this video. please listen to what he says. We need more true conservatives to get Ron Paul elected president. 07-08-22 16:59:27 _____________________________________________________
uSteltzen ::: Favorites Most elected American presidents are puppets of industry. This war is not for justice. Not looking too far back justice could have prevailed if the CIA and FBI took proper action regarding Al Quada. This is no conspiracy theory. You believe the lies that Dems. and Rep. are telling. Bush, Clinton are true vermin. Look into their scandals! 07-08-22 17:00:09 _____________________________________________________
alansready ::: Favorites I have no repect for all those people that want to stay in this war. they are just war mongers when what we really need is more peace. The neo conservative movement is not working. the republicnas got beat up in last election because the country hates this war. and all this spending that the so called conservatives did. We need the old conservatives and his name is Ron Paul . 07-08-22 17:03:21 _____________________________________________________
uSteltzen ::: Favorites Corrupt machine, corrupt ties with industry and foriegn leaders. Wake up to what America has become. Pawns of injustice, lies, and the ultra corrupt. 07-08-22 17:04:05 _____________________________________________________
JSMan55 ::: Favorites So just come out and say it. The root cause of terrorism is the resistance to it, and the deposition of governments that practice and support it. Such is the circularity of your flawed syllogism: we cause terrorism by fighting against it. You make the mistake of attributing rationality/motive to this by saying terrorism is about anything other than itself. Save lives by allowing Iraqis to be slaughtered, and terrorists to murder our citizens? THAT is truly naive. 07-08-22 20:01:24 _____________________________________________________
JSMan55 ::: Favorites The problem I have with you simply saying "Ron Paul" as if it is a valid argument, and then unintelligently condemning someone elses argument as "stupid", or numerous other thoughtless pejoratives, is that it is not an argument at all. Simply the product of a lazy and dishonest mind. Try actually considering someone elses opinion for once, and thinking for yourself, rather than just dismissing it out of hand because "Ron Paul" says so. 07-08-22 20:07:54 _____________________________________________________
JSMan55 ::: Favorites Conspiracy theories are floated by two types of people: 1) People who want to profit from a particular event. (Note how much money has been made off of the JFK assassination. Books, films, etc.) 2) People who have no education but desire to look smarter than everyone else at first glance. Conspiracies allow them to "know" something that educated people "do not know" without having to go through any sort of education to "know" it. Rosie O'Donnell is a perfect example. 07-08-22 20:12:35 _____________________________________________________
JSMan55 ::: Favorites And I have no respect for people who are so closed-minded that they refuse to consider arguments that differ from theirs, and resort to ad hominem attacks as reasoned argument. To clarify, Republicans lost the last election because they abandoned the principles of conservatism that won them the center-right majority... that got them there in the first place! Ron Paul is wrong. And he is wrong for this country. 07-08-22 20:18:28 _____________________________________________________
abukamoon ::: Favorites This man speaks the truth. Throw out the Neo Cons. Restore Constitutional government. Ron Paul in 2008. 07-08-22 22:36:05 _____________________________________________________ |
