Description:

Gerry Anderson's third SF supermarionation saga told the adventures of the WASPs (the World Aquanaut Security Patrol) as they explored the oceans and kept the world safe from a variety of perils. The WASP's main weapon was Stingray, a super-sub under the command of Troy Tempest. Troy's copilot was Phones, and they were often joined on missions by Marina, a princess of the undersea kingdom of Pacifica.

Man I have not heard that for so many years. What a thrill. If I can sit my kids long enough in front of this...I will show them what the "state of the art" was in 1965 (or so).

I loved this show too! What is the Commander saying in the intro? "Marineville, man *mumble* Battle Stations!" Anyone know what *mumble* was? Loved those buildings going underground and all the gadgets.

That's probably because, like my family, you had a black & white TV early on! We got a color TV later and boy, was I surprised! PS Thanks, Jasper.

He said; "Marineville, I am calling Battle Stations!" But I strongly agree with you on the Battle Stations sequence AND the Action & Launch stations, which were accompanied by the high-pitched staccato drum beats sounding from the speakers, that is COOL BEANS!!

I used to watch this when it was shown after neighbors, when i was 5! Back in 1992 though obviously even then they were re-runs! I used to look forward to it every week.

Why does the commander look a lot like Bush. He would like this show. Still remember the Loch Ness monster episode. Bloody hilarious.
