LOL. Wow I should wake up more before typing responses. :-P Basically it's not that hard to give PCs that kind of functionality either, and on PCs, the shutdown shortcut can be one-button, not a key combination. =)

I noticed this and I did a bit of research on it, and I've been told it was a bug fix. Apparently you used to have to hold it, but, not so sure. Anyway, you do have a point.

The newq Mac Pro's have two optical drives (optional extra, once they introduce Blu-ray drives for Power Mac G5's I'm getting one)

Short cut from the keyboard is (thats an apple symbol BTW) E this will get discs out almost all the time. If the Disc still won't move, click and drag the disc over the trash, the trash will change to an eject symbol....

PCs have had the option for multiple optical drives for years. Awhile back, there used to be special multimedia keyboards with eject buttons to open the CD-ROM drive, but with multiple drives, then it becomes a question of which drive to open, or you pop a menu and pick a drive. It's not hard to set up something like this. Point being: No need to slam Windows users because of something like this. =)

Our lab computers at college have a DVD drive and a separate CD-R/CD-RW drive right above each other.

Probably a year to a few years old, as the optical drive market has pretty much condensed down to mostly DVD-burner combo drives as HD format drives besides the X-Box 360 drive get ready to be released.

I'm actually quite glad this thing came up, Before this was up I thought that might have had some software problems but if I hold down the eject button long enough it works.
