QDJMan ::: Favorites 2007-12-11 16:42:55 Excellent. Thanks. Nice parakeet (presumably) chorus in the background! Peace, - QDJ __________________________________________________
only1duk ::: Favorites 2007-12-02 17:25:04 No I think Islam and Christianity, if interpreted LITERALLY, are both VERY WRONG, controlling mechanisms which we should have grown out of hundreds of years ago. Freedom of speech, and expression is far more important for mankind at the moment, than the fragile imaginations of a self-deluded religious nutters. FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IS WHAT MAKES US HUMAN. __________________________________________________
theamericanmuslimah ::: Favorites 2007-11-14 13:37:56 The Qur'an forbids aggressive warfare and permits war only in self-defence; the moment the enemy sues for peace, the Qur'an insists that Muslims must lay down their arms and accept whatever terms are offered, even if they are disadvantageous. Later, Muslim law forbade Muslims to attack a country where Muslims were permitted to practice their faith freely; the killing of civilians was prohibited, as were the destruction of property and the use of fire in warfare. __________________________________________________
theamericanmuslimah ::: Favorites 2007-11-14 13:37:45 There is far more violence in the Bible than in the Qur'an; the idea that Islam imposed itself by the sword is a Western fiction, fabricated during the time of the Crusades when, in fact, it was Western Christians who were fighting brutal holy wars against Islam. __________________________________________________
theamericanmuslimah ::: Favorites 2007-11-14 13:26:47 Mashallah! You are right you can find the same kind of language in the bible :) and the difference is that in Islam you will read in the Quran fight if they fight you.... but the text does not end there it says if they stop you stop. Ryan I have seen your video and I agree with you. I think that the problem is that some people take things to a extreme. Islam tells us we should not :) but try to be in the middle. __________________________________________________
dimthelight ::: Favorites 2007-11-09 13:26:45 NeoPrometheus73 You are the only person on Youtube, that I have seen. That knows how to think. People need a brain like yours.:) Show people the knowledge you have!!:) __________________________________________________
dimthelight ::: Favorites 2007-11-09 13:19:44 Npplboy *Jesus gave us two commandments* Where in the bible do you only get two commandments from Jesus? The New Testament alone (in the words of Jesus) there are about 100-200 commandments. Then if you read the verse (Matthew 5:17,think not that I'm come to destroy the law, or the prophets.) (old testaments) are still valid. The Old Testament has around 600 commandments. Plus Islam has the words of Jesus in the Quran. Look at Middle East. Which ideology are they in now? __________________________________________________
NeoPrometheus73 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 21:20:38 The Spanish Inquisitors would have had quite a party to persuade you otherwise. Everyone thinks that their interpretation of the Bible is the only correct one. That's why there are so many denominations. Ultimately, you choose which interpretation is correct, and assume all others are simply not true Christians. __________________________________________________
Npplboy ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 20:08:48 No it doesn't. It tells the Israelites under the Old Covenant to do those things; that covenant is finished and you are likely not Israel. Remember; Israel had the specific job of delivering Messiah to save the world. Rebellion in their camp jeopardized the salvation of the entire world! Now that Messiah has come, the Israel no longer kill the disobedient. Jesus gave us two commandments: Love God with all your might, will, strength, and mind. And two: Love your neighbor as yourself. __________________________________________________
moh77 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 18:46:02 lol goto ask em about the suicide part, but what struck me was even after killing millions he still gets to goto heaven. Thats just insane. __________________________________________________
NeoPrometheus73 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 11:56:10 Actually, by sheer luck of the legality of atonement, I think Hitler would be in Hell. Hitler committed suicide, which many Christians regard as murder. If the last action he committed in life was a mortal sin, and he had no opportunity to repent afterwards, he would die unforgiven and therefore go to Hell. __________________________________________________
moh77 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 09:08:36 I asked a Christian does Hitler goto hell or heaven, He kinda stumbled until he told me he goes to heaven because he believes in jesus. Weird how christianity works, kill millions and still goto heaven. __________________________________________________
NeoPrometheus73 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 02:33:26 So in a sense, over-aggressive secularization has also been a highly antagonizing pressure, which sought to rapidly rearrange the social climate more quickly than many of them could handle. According to some accounts, the origins of terrorist movements actually began in Egypt as a response to aggressive secularization... some of the leaders ending up in exile to other Islamic countries where they had little trouble finding others who had been aggravated by the overall impact made by the West. __________________________________________________
NeoPrometheus73 ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 02:25:05 There is also the matter of the CIA installed dictatorship established over Iran in the 1950's, forcing secularization over the country, that ultimately wasn't overthrown until Islamic extremists revolted, resulting in the fundamentalist theocracy we've seen there for the past 30 years. Egypt is another example; subjugated by the British Empire, they regained independence through revolution in the 20's, but continued to struggle internally with attempts at rapid secularization and modernization. __________________________________________________
ReligionIsACrutch ::: Favorites 2007-11-08 01:38:56 All religions hate some form of freedom. Yet that has nothing to do with 9/11. It is clearly over our continued involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and at the root of that conflict is yet another religion. Surprised? __________________________________________________ |
