EMTi99JH ::: Favorites I am a NREMT-P, stress doesn't make you fatter. That is an excuse to commit suicide if you ask me. People get lazy as that job gets harder. You should try watching that movie: "Bringing Out the Dead" with Nicholas Cage. It shows the stress and nightmares a paramedic lives in. I was fat before I joined the EMS program... Now I've turned a lot of that to muscle or just lost it. Not all paramedics are fat, that would be discrimination.
