My dream weekend includes me, at least three games and someone to shout at the tv with when the ref can't see offside offences. |

rebelyell1205 ::: Favorites Hope I didn't sound rude -- I'm just a bit sensitive today after reading a lot of crap online about 560 days between competitive goals for Newcastle (he's been injured, not on a drought, you know?). I can quote just about any stat Owen has for England, and some for his clubs. Because I'm a big girl's blouse. I just don't really want to run the math on his pay packet. I'm feeling lazy today ;) 07-08-30 22:19:12 __________________________________________________
lydiadarlington ::: Favorites I fully redacted any shite talking I did about MO. He rocks. Thanks for bringing me back to the right way of thinking! 07-09-04 16:04:28 __________________________________________________
lydiadarlington ::: Favorites I think it was more a frustration with not seeing enough of him--but I will do my best to watch the tone in the future. Talking shite about MO isn't something I want to be called on. Ever. I love the fact that you can quote a goal to start ratio. That rocks. And true, his pay isn't out of line. I stand corrected. Now, do you have any video of the Barnsley game yesterday or what?? :) 07-08-30 12:46:29 __________________________________________________
lydiadarlington ::: Favorites Found the video of the Barnsley game. All good! 07-08-30 12:59:24 __________________________________________________
rebelyell1205 ::: Favorites My club is Liverpool, which is how I became a fan of Owen. And perhaps I misunderstood the tone here, but you didn't sound like a big fan of MO -- his pay packet is his business. And not exorbitant for a player of his stature. I just don't understand criticising a player for being injured. If he was on an actual goal drought, then go ahead and criticise how much he's paid per goal or whatever. His goals to start ratio is solid for Newcastle (8:14). 07-08-30 11:41:52 __________________________________________________
lydiadarlington ::: Favorites Lack love for MO? Ouch. That hurt. Not nice. And being a wuss, I cried when he got hurt and even more when he came back. I wouldn't sell him from my fantasy teams even when he was hurt-I came in 1 millionth last year because of it. American and MU fan, yes, but glued to every Toon game for a glimpse of the Saint on the pitch? Right there. Every time. Ask me what my son is named. :) Who is your team? 07-08-29 21:32:13 __________________________________________________
rebelyell1205 ::: Favorites No specific stats on Owen, at least not salary-wise. But you make it sound like he's off doing other things, that aren't football related. He's been injured. Like dear Wazza is right now. Anyone running the maths on what he makes to not play? No, because injuries happen. Owen's in the squad for the quals because he's class, and class is permanent. Judging by your accent, and the fact that you're a ManUre fan...I'll forgive the lack of Lil MO love. 07-08-29 20:54:33 __________________________________________________ |
