TomBarrister ::: Favorites The 1938 performance was a Vitaphone recording, and there were several takes before Heifetz was satisfied with it. This recording, from a short concert at Pomona College in 1952, was done once with no retakes. The piano is too loud in places, and the violin sounds rough in spots.
