BIG HUG 4U!! Don't expend your sweet spirit tryin to figure out why some ppl are JERKS. That is NOT ur duty in LIFE. 2 step program here...accept and MOVE on. DO NOT overly contemplate another person's choices. You CAN be in command of your own choice of actions in any situation the confronts you...thats KEY. WHY? He did it, you may not know but what you DO KNOW right now is WHAT HE DID. That's all that matters. With that knowledge you make your choice in your own self interest.

I agree with dafttool - although it hurt to be rejected now, just think how much it would have hurt if things had gone further. You might have made him a loan, cosigned a lease, or other entanglement and be left with legal and money woes too. Methinks he thinks he was letting you down easy - he might not want to say he was interested in your friend. Don't waste time on this CLOSED chapter...promising to be a friend assumes that the other person will act like a friend.

Thank you for opening up, Sean. --It sounds like you are much better off without that guy. He sounds a bit like a player. They'll really ef with your head. He also sounds like a bit of a coward, which typically goes hand in hand. Be glad you experienced "his sort" now, instead of after investing years of your life. In a sick way, he sort of did you a favor.

There's no telling why he rejected you, though that doesn't stop the self-questioning or minimalize the hurt he caused. He may not even know himself why he did what he did, or he may just be fickle. You know that you have worth,... and someday someone you love will validize that back to you. Until then, you have your studies, your vlog, your friends and your family to keep you busy and encourage you to carry on.
